The Marijuana Industry Group (MIG) was founded in 2010 to protect and promote the Colorado medical marijuana regulatory framework, serve as a responsible resource for policy makers, and protect the rights of medical marijuana patients. After the passing of Amendment 64 and establishment of the recreational marijuana market we became the Marijuana Industry Group (MIG), representing both sides of the industry. We are a marijuana trade association representing over 50 businesses in Colorado. The Marijuana Industry Group envisions a world in which local, state, and federal laws protect marijuana businesses, and patients and customers are able to receive safe access to quality medicine and products.
The Voice For Colorado’s Expanding Marijuana Industry
With a dedicated leadership and lobbying team, MIG works at the local, state, and federal level protecting safe and regulated access to marijuana to patients and customers in Colorado. The Marijuana Industry Groups efforts go towards helping political candidates who support the legalization and regulation of marijuana, lobbying directly during hearings that involve all aspects of the marijuana industry, as well as holding events that bring together different parts of the industry to help develop and further our goals as a whole.
Teen marijuana use is increasing nationwide. Yet according to federal government data collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Colorado is seeing a decrease in marijuana use among teens.
